We brought our sand turtle to North Carolina. It has sat on our deck until a week or so ago. The weather has been a bit unpredictable, and with 2 boys inside all day....do I really need to say more? So we took a trip to Lowe's and bought some sand. This has been awesome, especially with the paleontologists we have around here.
To answer a few questions: yes, somedays I do only half dress my kids as evident by Reese's pajama bottoms. Yes, that IS an ugly tarp underneath the turtle-we figured the downstairs neighbors probably wouldn't like bits of sand raining on them as they sat outside on their deck.
