There we were watching the Discovery Channel. Abram like to watch the episodes that relate to dinosaurs, and seriously- he will watch the entire thing. The episode we were watching was something about the time before dinosaurs. Anyhoo- there was a huge spider walking around (they said this spider-which lived in dinosaur times would have been stalking prey the size of a household cat), and you could tell it was "on the hunt". I looked at Kris and said, "Change the channel." "Oh it'll be fine." he says. "No, Kris, change the channel." and then I think he may have rolled his eyes at me.
And then it happened........
A cute innocent lizard walking by (Abram loves lizards). The spider attacks it and eats it. Abram starts yelling "NO! NO!" Kris changes the channel, but it's too late. Abram is hysterical. In the bathtub, "The spider ate the lizard!!! Scary spider!!" During bedtime stories, "Scary spider, eat that lizard!" Getting ready for bed bawling, "Spider SO SCARY!!!" So we talked about it (75 times or so) "Yes it did eat that lizard, I bet his belly was so full. Do we eat spiders? That's right, spiders are grose. Do we eat lizards? That's right, lizards are grose too. What do you eat? Pancakes, right! Is Spiderman scary? That's right, he's not scary, we love Spiderman."
The first thing he tells me this morning. "That spider ate the lizard."
I think we are going to lay off the Discovery Channel for a while......

Happy Father's Day!!!
We celebrated Father's Day today. A day all for Kris. I dressed the kids in their special Father's Day shirts and made a shirt for Kris. He loved it. Then, we went to the Tellus Museum, it's a new museum in the area and we had a blast. I think Abram was in heaven with all of the dinosaur bones. Afterward we ate our packed lunch, had a pop ice and took a nap. Chinese food for dinner and ice cream for dessert. And for those of you who are loyal followers and sent the hate mail (not really) about Abram never having an ice cream cone (with the actual cone) today was the day. We played outside until we got too hot, and the ended the night with our normal routine. Al in all I would say it was a great day and Kris enjoyed it. I am so grateful for Kris and what a wonderful father he is. It is truly amazing to see the way our children look at him. Happy Father's Day Kris, we love you "sooooooo much"!

My little Reese Cup
My little Reese is growing like a weed. On Monday he will be 2 months old. It's kinda funny, I can't remember life without Abram, and the same is true for Reese. He fits into our family so perfectly, it's as if he has always been a part of it. He is so sweet and his two favorite things right now are baths and snuggling. I love him so much and I am so grateful to be his Mom.
Just being sweet....

and silly.....(in this pic you can tell he is finally getting hair on the top of his head!!! I am so excited for his baby mullet to be gone!!)

This pic below is Reese after his bath and lotion, he is soooooo relaxed.

huh??

Love/Hate Relationship
Just a second to vent.....
I love that Abram is getting the hang of it.....although
I hate potty training......
I love not having to buy diapers....
I hate accidents......
I love when Abram very rarely says, "potty!" even when we are on the road and have to pull off the interstate on a random exit with a scary gas station over a mile away, but thankfully we had the frog potty in the back of the car where he went (#2) in the back of the car on the side of the road on a totally dead exit until we pulled over and everyone and their mom had to pull off the exit-therefore, I love my explorer trunk which provides some privacy.....(wouldn't my English teacher be proud of that run-on sentence)
I hate that after a couple of days of no accidents including going to the museum and the zoo, getting super excited only to end up cleaning up over 4 accidents that next day......
Back to the drawing board while chanting, "This will be worth it. This will be worth it."

A Little More.......
How could I have forgotten to post this picture?
We heard about "dinosaur bones" all the way to Chattanooga, and all the way back from Chatanooga, and all the rest of the day (and night). He is loving him some dinosaurs.
And some videos you ask? But of course, dah-ling!
Here is some fun with balloons from Chick-fil-a:
and a quick video of the "superhero" and the "angel"

A Week Full of Cousins.......
This past week has been really busy. My cousin Lisa and her husband Matt (as in the Matthew Reese's middle name is after) and their kiddos came to see us. Before that, my cousin Danny came for the day and completely wore out Abram with a bunch of rough housing.
Lisa, Matt, Kate, and Sam came for a few days from Ohio. We always have fun when we are together. Abram and Kate were born 12 days apart and Sam is 4 months older than Reese. Needless to say our hands were full. We were able to go the Children's Museum in Chattanooga, and the Atlanta Zoo. Normally when we get together there are over 300 pictures taken between us (no, I am not kidding). But now that we each have 2 kiddos, the time for taking pictures is not so much. That being said, here is a slide show of some of our adventures.
I can't wait until we get to see them again in 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!

Blessing Day
Today was a special day for our family. Reese was blessed. It was a perfect day outside and Reese slept all through church until the very end. Here we are outside the new addition that Kris is working on.
**please note that the camera adds an extra 35 pounds

And here is a little monkey that we found outside by the tree....

Just What I Needed......
I had an awesome, exhausting weekend. In fact, I was so tired Sunday night-I had a headache, wanted to throw up and maybe die a little, but it was sooooooooo worth it.
I need my girlfriends. They are one of the best things in the whole entire world.
So I have been struggling a little lately, a little bit o' baby blues, a little bit o'cabin fever, a little bit o' insanity from 11 days o' potty training (and not being able to leave the house for fear of an accident with 2 kiddos). And who comes to save the day? Two of my bestest girlfriends.
Abram was spoiled, Reese was spoiled, Kris was spoiled with banana pudding, I was spoiled. We got caught up, we reminisced, we ate things I knew I would curse about as my healthy/exercise plan begins this weekend, we laughed, oh how I needed this weekend.
AND on a totally random note, check out this crazy huge beautiful moth that landed on my window outside:

Anyhoo, just wanted to say that I am so grateful for all of my close girlfriends, especially the ones where we can go a long time without talking, and then pick up the phone-or meet up and it's as if we never missed a minute.
