Parenthood

First of all, for those who get offended easily-don't click on the movie. For those who have kids, or work with kids, or know kids, play away. One of the best movies.....

Now for the explaination. When Kris and I would watch this movie back when we were first married, we always joked around how this would be us, and we would have the little boy who put the bucket on his head and ran into the wall (do you remember that part?). We love this movie. Well the other day Abram started putting his spiderman bucket on his head.....and there you have it.

P.S. The buckethead kid was our favorite anyways-remember the part where he jumped up on the stage during his sister's play screaming at the kid who pushed his sister? I need to rent this movie again.

P.P.S. For those of you whol are about to comment to the fact that not only would this be us, but Kris would most likely be singing along-I know, I know.

Yes.......I love technology

SO I left my dumb phone charger in the hotel room last weekend. I tried to get a new one and it didn't work, so I am off to the store to get a new one. Our internet was down yesterday, I felt so disconnected! How did the pioneers do it? I will never know. But I think all of this drama was remedied with a trip to Toys R Us last night. We needed to get Abram some age appropriate toys, puzzles, etc. I don't know who was more excited Abram or us. But I so agree with Kip........

A Little Teaser.............

Here are some pics that were emailed to me from my little sister's wedding. I know, my sister is the beautifullest, seriously, she looked amazing, just like a princess. You know how you say that about every bride even when they don't look like it because it's their big day? She really did look like a princess. I have never seen her look so beautiful and so happy. The second one is of Abram and my cousin's little girl. How cute are they? They were born 12 days apart. And I think they will kill us for taking this picture when they are teenagers. Check out Abram's shoes!!

I'm BaaaAAaaack!

Okay, I have been gone all week for my sister's wedding. Pictures are coming, I have none-which is a story for another time, let's just say that I was a bit preoccupied. So stories and pic will come later. My sister gave Abram a hat along with other summer goodies in a bucket for being a part of her wedding. Abram is NOT a fan of hats. Unless his new friend Tyler is making them look fun and cool (he STILL cracks up over the "sneeze trick" Jen!) Kris put this visor hat on him this evening and he wore it forever. So naturally I have a picture and video.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!

Hope all of you mothers and you would be mothers have had an awesome day!!! Especially those of you who feel like you have really been earning a special day (am I projecting a little?). How could you not be so grateful for a face like this? I am so blessed to be a mother.

The Buck Creek Festival

This past weekend was the annual Buck Creek Festival. This is a festival in Helena that supports several charities around our area http://www.buckcreekfestival.com/BuckCreekFestival. We decided to load up for some family fun. We had a blast. So for $5 an arm band (which goes straight to charity) you can go on all of the inflatable jumping things. So naturally I bought one for Abram and one for me. Well, thanks to the guy from Edward Jones who gave Abram a blue balloon in the first 5 minutes of being there, Abram was not at all interested in any of the inflatables, only interested in the balloon.....but it was for charity right? So no need to be bitter. Although they did have this HUGE blow up slide, and even though Abram cried all of the way up it (wanting his balloon) I decided we should try to get our money's worth. By the way, he loved going down the slide, so no need to contact DCS. It was all fun and games until a 7 year old came flying down after us and his bony bare feet nailed me in the back, karma I guess. Kris and I also thought it would be fun for Abram to have his first funnel cake. Surprise? No interest in the funnel cake, only in the balloon. There were really good bands that we did get the chance to break it down. It was quite a morning.

All of the fun things to do.....

What? Funnel cakes are totally on my diet for my bridesmaid dress I have to wear in a week! (note: No need to comment about how there doesn't seem to be a funnel cake left on the plate.)

The balloon....

The balloon again...

Me and Abram....(note: humidity and pollen are not my friends)

One of the awesome bands........

Abram breaking it down "Maniac" style.....

A long, long, morning (note: he is STILL holding onto the balloon!)....

One guess...........

Our hero looking for trouble......

I swear to you he is making the web fingers, and no I didn't teach it to him....

Now for the question.....guess which parent was excited for the 2 pairs of Spiderman pj's marked down from $30 to $3 at Kohl's and which parent was jealous they didn't come in their size....hmmmm..........I bet that's a tough one.

CS4.....Word to Your Mother!!!

When I was younger, we (my sister and I) spent every summer with our grandparents. In doing that, we spent a ton of time with two of our cousins. When you get 4 girls together a lot of crazy fun happens, a lot of "creativity" if you will. Well, one summer we made a band, full equipt with dance routines and matching hot pink and black outfits (I will just say the words "bike shorts" and you will go there with me). So our band was called "CS4" meaning cousins, sisters, and there were 4 of us. We had a few shows at family get togethers, remade a hit called "Sparklers in Hawaii" taken from the show 'Jem' (if you don't know who I am talking about, stop reading, because it only gets worse). We decided it was probably better that we didn't go public, you know-the paparazzi, the fate of young singers, etc. So we decided to lay low and keep it to ourselves, though never forgotten, and always referred to, when in each others presence. That being said, CS4 got together in Cinncinati for a bachelorette party over this past weekend. My cousin made shirts that said "CS4" on the front and "Last Fling Before the Ring" on the back-of course in our pink and black colors. And of course we busted them out along with our boas on our GNO with eating and dancing. It was the most fun. I don't have pictures, because what happens in Cinncinati, stays in......actually, b/c my camera is a piece of poo. But I will share this moment with you. We went to this place where the music was awesome and then the DJ decided to bust out "Ice Ice Baby" well you better believe Beth got her groove back in 3 seconds flat and as I was TOTALLY breaking it down and SINGING EVERY SINGLE WORD I looked around and noticed that no one else (other than who I was with) knew any of the words and it hit me. Not to mention that there was this guy there wearing a shirt (you know the trendy shirts with the faded dates on them that are dated from long ago) with the year that I was born. All I could do was laugh, wow, am I getting old? NAH, word to your mother!

Happy Plants

Thanks Aunt Terri!!

Abram got a really fun package today from his Aunt Terri in Tennessee. I don't know who came up with the bubble gun invention, but I love her (c'mon it had to be a her). Plus, you can never get enough noise making toys (please catch the sarcasm, Aunt Terri LOVES to torture me. Even from afar I can hear her provocative laugh!). Abram loves everything, thank you so much!!
