Pumpkin Carving and Caramel Apples

You start with a little present from Aunt Terri.......

decisions, decisions.........

you add a cute baby and a cute Daddy (both who aren't feeling well- Daddy has a cold, Reese had his shots)

you teach Abram how to use a "saw"

Abram freaks out because the guts are disgusting

ok, maybe just a little touch....

Reese said, "Gimme that pumpkin, I'm not scared!"

"I'll touch the guts!"

Abram decides-if you can use a shovel it must not be that bad

and if you get a caramel apple afterward (Abram's first one, by the way).....

it's even better!

the "funny" part?  Is that after Abram's nervous breakdown over not being able to run around with the saw, Daddy getting too sick and having to go rest, Reese crying because his little legs are sore, Mommy ended up doing the actual carving by herself.  It was pretty sad actually.  But for all of you X-Men fans, not bad, eh?

P.S. Reese's 6 month stats: height-27 inches, weight 20.1 pounds

The Pumpkin Patch..........a story

Today we went to

just me and the

They had everything, porta potties....

 a hay maze

 and if you ...

in line, then you got to go on a

and if you were hungry, there was fast food

If you feel like being traumatized while doing horse riding races, there are cows that will moo right beside you..

But if you can calm down, there is a petting farm that has a

pregnant goat with

two babies!!! ( I have never seen one before, so I had to get both angles) Let's see, they had

and

and  "Look Mommy!!  POOP!!!!!!!"

and

it was a chilly day.  If you were a Reese-miester, it probably wore you out a bit so you did a lot of this

and this

while all the fun was going on.

There were a lot of

(odd bird)s at the Pumpkin Farm.  Some of which could make Reese do this

even when I couldn't.  I wasn't offended, the lady was pretty funny....looking.
There were some good friends that showed up

There were also a lot of over priced pumpkins.  Don't get me wrong, I am all about supporting local farmers, but seriously, it was pretty ridiculous.  SO we let Abram select a small pumpkin and then I bought a big pumpkin from a farm stand 5 min from our house (that also has produce grown by local farmers).   A survey concluded mixed reviews of the Pumpkin Farm.

Abram and Daddy's  thoughts...

Reese....

Oh well.  It was fun to be together.  Now for the pumpkin carving and caramel apple making.......

A Pirate's Life For Me

This past Saturday we had Abram's birthday party.  It was so much fun, I get a little crazy about birthdays around here.  I don't know, it's so fun.  Anyways, we sent out invitations in a bottle to his little friends, and had a treasure hunt, with clues and obstacles.  Each time they completed the obstacles, the kiddos were rewarded with pirate gear.

There was jumping island freeze dance....

There was digging for gold coins....

Look how happy he is (of course he IS holding a sword).....

And walking the plank.....

Figuring out the whole eye patch thing is a little confusing.....

 Reese tasting the decorations....

Finding the treasure chest....

Pirate Reese with Nana

I think Abram liked the cake, this is him trying to pull it off the table to eat it....

Later that night I asked him if he liked his cake.  He said, "The ocean was yummy, it made me had a blue mustache!"

He had so much fun and slept like a log after his party, in fact we ALL did.  Abram's Grandma, Nana,
Aunt Natalie, and Aunt Terri came in from Tennessee, and he was so excited.  All in all it was a great day.

Birthday Breakfast Thanks to Rachael Ray....

Rachael (I think we are on a first name basis, her and I) taught me this little diddy.....

When you are done with your ketchup, wash out the bottle

Then add a little bit of this

and a bit of creativity

and maybe a little bit o' whipped cream and sprinkles

So that when your brand new 3 year old sees it, you get this

"A number 3 pancake!!!!!"

Get some chocolate milk in a Spiderman cup with a straw and you have the beginning of a great day, wah la!
