Here We Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All righty, the moment you have all been waiting for! But not really, because my mom likes to steal my thunder (just kiddin Mom......kinda). The hospital has WI-FI so I am finally getting a minute to let you know what is going on. Here is the gist. We went in at 7:30am, were the third c-section in line (they only have one operating room for the maternity unit). The first was delayed, so we didn't end up getting in there until 11ish. It was so weird to be so organized and have everything ready. I have been so calm this time as opposed to last time. And that morning, I felt the same-calm and ready. The IV hurt like a cuss word. Everyone was sooooooo awesome. The spinal was WAY EASIER than the epidural, although the "not make me nauseous" medicine didn't work before the spinal, so I started gagging and crying (because I cry when I gag) and praying that I wouldn't have to lay in my own vomit for the next hour. Luckily the nausea went away and I had really supportive nurses and anesthesiologist until Kris got there. Within minutes Reese was out and all I can say is he was beautiful. Even all gunked up-he was so beautiful and I instantly was in love with him. He wasn't crying a lot, which worried me, but they all assured me he was okay and they wanted to put him on oxygen because sometime c-section babies have a hard time getting fluid out of their lungs because they don't go through the birth canal.

I was sewed up, everything went so fast and the fact that I wasn't totally out of it-like I was with Abram was so nice. To give you the summarized version, Reese had a small hole in each lung, so I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him at first because the docs/nurses wanted to observe him. That made me really emotional, but it was all about what was best for him. They did some x-rays and were going to follow up he next morning. That night a friend from church came by and he and Kris gave Reese a blessing. I felt so comforted, and knew that Heavenly Father would take care of it. The next morning the pediatrician said that the x-rays showed that his "holes" were now only "lines" meaning that they were repairing themselves and all would be well. I am so grateful, I can't even begin to say....especially because the hormones are already going crazy and I have bawled mucho today.

Hmmm.....let's see what else? Abram was pretty unsure at first, I think he is still unsure. Reese got Abram a present (I know :)) which just so happened to be Percy and Salty (Thomas trains) and since then, I think Abram thinks this baby might not be so bad after all. You do what you gotta do, right? And Abram has also been getting spoiled by my Mom. He sure loves his Nana and Aunt Natalie. It has been so great having them here.

As far as me, I am sore. Things are looking good, so hopefully I won't get an infection this time. I am going to TRY and do better at not doing too much too fast, but we'll see how that goes.

I know what you are thinking-"Shut up already and post the pics!" okay, but I must warn you-he is beautiful. And I can't stop staring at him, so make sure before you look at these you have time to just sit and stare......

Very cute!! He's huge! LOL Compared to my little peanut! LOL

Look at his hair, but I don't think he looks like Abram at all as an infant. Hmm.. I'm going to pull out my infant Abram pics and take a look! He's beautiful!! Congrats and I'm so glad that his lungs are healing.

I'm glad he seems to be doing well, what a miracle! I'm so glad the delivery went well. I hope you heal up fast, take it easy. You are right, I want to stare at him all day. He is so beautiful! I might even be a little jealous about how gorgeous your newborns are... or a lot... don't tell anyone though, that would make me look like a bad mom!
