He. Is. A. Muffin.

Seriously, just look at him.....

and I am not kidding when I tell you he loves me.

We got to hang out while his Mommy took a shower and his Daddy went to get clean clothes and stuff from home.  He stayed up with me for over an hour, we had a lot to talk about.......

Do you see the way he smiles at me as if to say, "Oh Aunt Beth, you know YOU are my favorite, right? But we'll keep it our little secret, ok?"

Ok Isaac, I won't tell anyone.

The Gingerbread House

On Sunday night we made a gingerbread house.  It was store bought-I know, I know.  I vowed to make a homemade one next year.  We had so much fun, all of us except Reese.  He got sick-as in puked 6 times or so.  He is fine now, I think it's because we used different water in his bottles.  I forgot to get his regular water at the store, and we thought the filtered fridge water would be fine.  Little did we know, this was NOT the case.  Right as we were putting the final touches on our gingerbread house,  Reese lost his cookies, on his Daddy.  Bless his heart, he was really pitiful and only wanted to sleep on Mommy the rest of the night.  Once we bought the water he was fine.  Mental note taken.

Other than the puking, we had a lot of fun. Poor baby.

Keeping Busy and Having Fun

I know I have been whining a bit about how Kris is traveling during the week for his job until our next move.  It sucks.  We miss him terribly.  I could go on and on, but that aside, we are thankful that he has a job during these difficult times in the economy.  And during the week we try to make the most out of it....but sometimes we get restless, so the boys and I venture out.  One night last week we went to The Christmas Place.  It is a little Village that is open year round, it is so fun and has so many cute shops.  It was pretty chilly, but fate was on our side-as we pulled in, someone pulled out right in front.

I didn't get a picture of Abram trying to ride the reindeer, I was a little busy getting him away from it.

I just think that this is amazing.  It's on the ceiling of one of the shops.  The ceiling is like the night sky.

I liked this tree because all the decorations are candy, super cute.  Although the candy is fake, I have always wanted to have a tree with completely edible decorations-how cute would that be?

Later in the week, we went to see a drive through Christmas light show.  Although a little pricey, it supported a good cause and was really great.  We stopped by Kroger on the way to pick up some of these

and some of this

because really- who doesn't think Christmas lights and doughnuts/chocolate milk are a winning combination?

He is SO My Child and a Random Funny....

Something that made me smile- we were driving home from Church tonight (RS dinner) and passing through downtown Knoxville.  There are a lot of pretty Christmas lights everywhere.  Abram is in the backseat singing (yes, singing-as in, he knows most of the words) 'Frosty the Snowman' along with the CD (Fiona Apple version).  In his little Abram voice, "Frooooooosty the snow-Mommy! Look the sunsphere! was a jolly happy so-did you see that Mommy?! A Christmas tree! pipe and a button nose and two ey-Mommy! I just saw a reindeer! coal." I love him, and I love that he talks my ear off every time we get in the car, or when he randomly repeats things I have said, like (in Abram voice), "Honey, I can't reach that for you I am driving." or when I say, "No honey." he will yell, "YES HONEY!"

On a total random note.  Things you never expect to hear in the Kroger frozen food aisle (a conversation between a middle aged couple). "Did you see those brussel sprouts?" "BRUSSEL SPROUTS?! I was craving those yesterday!  Let's get some!"  Seriously?  Craving brussel sprouts?

Let It Snow

Probably everyone is East Tennesse will have a similar post.  It's rare that we see snow in this here parts, and when we do, it melts soon after.  Abram has seen snow before, but this is the first snow that he is old enough to remember.  I wish I had on video his excitement.  It was so cute.  It went something like,

"MOMMY!!! I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT!!!"

It came down pretty good for a while.  So, we bundled everyone up....

(Are you having A Christmas Story flashbacks? Yep, that was the case.  You know, the funny thing about this picture is that Reese was crying when I was putting his big coat on, until I would hold up the camera and take a picture.  Then he would laugh, until the camera went down and he would continue crying.)

Then we proceeded to head outside.

(this one was taken through the window while I was get Reese ready)

Grandma Raisor held Reese and sang Christmas carols while we finished the snowman.

Obi thought about eating the snowman's arm.

The finished product.  Our first family snowman!!

(the videos take a few seconds to play)

We even got to go "sledding" this was the best hill we could find.  I know, a little sad-but we had a great time anyway.  And by the way, in the video of me and Abram, check out his face-he is grinning ear to ear the whole time!  And if you are wondering if we are sledding on top of Abram's turtle sandbox.....we are.

We got wet bums and everything-well, at least Kris and I did.

We made snow angels.

My all time favorite pictures of the day (so far) are:

Remember what I told you before?  Yah, as I type this, it has already melted.
