Carolina! Raleigh, North Carolina that is! We moved on Monday-except fot the 1 1/2 hours of sleep and Abram puking in the car when we had been on the road 2 hours (of the 6 hour trip) it was thankfully uneventfull. The kids did great in the car, and Kris had left hours before us (because he drives like an old lady and he had to go even slower b/c he was towing his truck behing the moving track), and we made it about 45 minutes behind him. There is SO much to update on-and now we have internet-so HOPEfully I will be back to blogging more often. Here is the jist:
Kris was laid off in April, had some work that he helped a friend do since, but nothing stable. My mother-in-law was VERY generous to us, and let us live in her condo while she moved to Missouri to help out with my brother in law's chiropracting clinic (and be with family out there). So many changes happened to our family-Kris had been traveling 5 1/2 days a week for almost 6 months before he got laid off. It wore on all of us, so it was a blessing that he was laid off in ways-such as renewing (right word?) relationships with the boys and myself. We lived in Sevierville and got to connect with old friends and had many service opportunities with church to do. By no means was it any sort of vacation, money was VERY TIGHT, and it was a great struggle for our family. But I can't begin to tell you how many blessings and miracles we saw in that time. A month ago, Kris's old boss said they had a project coming up and wondered if he was interested (um.....YES!!!!) So last week, they called and needed us here pretty quick.
We were able to have loads of fun this summer-especially reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones. The boys are enormous, Reese will be 18 months next month and Abram will be 4! I will have to do a "Summer Summary" post. As for right now, boxes still need unpacking, washer needs fixing, playgrounds need to be found, and I haven't lived this close to a Target in 4 years! We are so grateful!!

On the Road Again.......
Got the call last night. We will be moving this weekend (this is our third move on a holiday). Kris will be working for his old company-we are so grateful. Wanna hint? It will be on the outskirts of this town
Any guesses? No cheaters, so those who know-no guessing allowed. I won't have access to the computer for a few days (moving on Monday, then it'll take a while to get set up). I will let you know how it goes!

Did You Know......
That I have a friend who is a New York Wedding Photographer?
Here is some of his work
I don't know why I have big gaps in my posts, I have been working on this for 30 minutes-it's very frustrating. Anyhoo- Josh actually took my wedding pictures 10 years ago, before he was all professional and famous. So if you know anyone who needs an amazing wedding/special occasion photographer, let them know. He travels too-he once shot a wedding in Italy!
Just so we are clear-you know someone in New York- let 'em know, you want a photographer, I am letting you know, OR if you wana buy some cool pictures-you can do that too.
He is pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

Can't Believe it Has Been a DECADE!!!!!
Wow. So August 11th (have to put the date because it's really late and might not publish technically on the right day), 10 YEARS ago I got married. I was young-22 to be exact (2 months away from being 23). That's seems like sooooo young right now. Anyways, today we spent the day together as a family-and I have to say, I had SO many moments today when I thought, "I love my life. I love my husband. I love our family. We have had some ups and downs through the years, but it really has been the best." You know when you have those, "This is SO meant to be" moments? There were a lot of those today. I am not big on PDA kinda stuff, or announcing to the world mushy gushy pet name kind of make me puke sorta of things. But I will tell you this, there are no words to tell you how much I love him. And although he can absolutely drive me INSANE sometimes, there is no one else I would rather spend forever with. So here in my sentimental sorta way I will tell you the top 10 reasons (10 years-get it?) that I love my husband. Please note that these are not in any particular order.
1. He is my BEST friend. I can talk to him about anything, and do. He pretends to understand me, even when I know he doesn't. He loves me even when I feel like I don't deserve it. He knows that when I am having crazy emotional pregnant day (no, you didn't miss anything, this happened when I was pregnant with Abram) that fixing me chocolate chip pancakes and putting them on my Grandma's hand me down dishes will make me so happy I start bawling happy tears. really? Do I need to say any more than that?
2. He has a strong testimony. He has been through a lot in his life. But his testimony doesn't waiver. There is no fence sitting for him. He knows who he is spiritually and tries his best to be better, and when he does something that isn't his best, he tries harder to make things right and to do better.
3. He is an amazing Father. He hangs the moon for our boys. When I was single someone very dear to me told me to write down the qualifications for what I would want in a husband, and to never settle. One of the top three was "He will be a great Father". The way he looks at our children and they look at him is awesome. When they are playing together, most times I really can't tell who is having more fun. He LOVES them, and they know it-which is really important to me.
4. I love how he relates everything to comic book superheroes. And will do it like I am on the same plain as him, like everyone should know what he is talking about. Or when his hair needs to be cut and he will wake up with crazy bed head and call it his Wolverine hair.
5. I love how he is obsessed with Werewolves, and gets (seriously) annoyed that now it's trendy because it's all about Twilight (even though he has read all the books because he was wondering why I was so obsessed:)).
6. I love that even when he compliments me and I tell him to shut up because it embarrasses me, that he will tell me "Too bad" and he will still tell me how hot I am when we are in our 80's.
7. I love when he gets embarrassed at things on TV (American Idols try outs) or in movies (Along Came Polly) when the person gets embarrassed and how he has to leave the room if I don't change the channel.
8. I love that he pushes me when I doubt myself.
9. I love when he is playing with the kids and does the voices (and accents) of the trains (Thomas) and makes witty jokes and makes me laugh from the other room until I cry. He usually makes me laugh when he isn't trying to :)
10. I love that we get to be together forever.
One of my fabulous friends wrote the story of her and her husband on her blog. I LOVED that idea, and I am thinking, maybe since it's a 10 year sorta thing, I should reflect on our own...hmmmmmm. Still thinking about that one. We have a he said/she said version and since we all know who is right, maybe I should have it in print.....
Happy Anniversary Kristopher Charles Raisor!!! 10 down, forever to go!!!!

Stats of the Contenders
We went to the doc today in Knoxville. I have been putting it off-you know shots and all. I am a vaccination kinda Mom, but the bloody murder screaming and the "Why are you letting them hurt me?!" look, is one I can delay for an extended period of time. That being said, the Reese-miester is behind on his shots (missed his 12 month check up). And today when I took him in they wanted to give him SIX vaccinations at once!! Those crazy needle happy nurses! The doc said, "Ummmm no, we won't be doing that today." when I told him my concerns on how much his cute little chub legs could handle. Abram even had to get 2 boosters. Knowing this ahead of time, Kris came with me. Kris has NEVER been to a shot appointment. And Reese thankfully is a lot easier to console than Abram was at his age. Then the doc asked if we went back to Georgia often, because there are measles cases in Georgia! Wow. Anyway, bloody murder screams and all, the kids did surprisingly well, and we went to McDonalds for lunch (because did you KNOW that they are giving away SUPERHEROES at McDonalds?!?!?!!?). So if any of you get an inkling for a happy meal and don't want the toy-send it to the Raisor household!! We just realized this last week so we have the Torch, and today got Captain America. I am getting a little too excited about this, so on with the story.
Their stats crack me up-being that they are 2 1/2 years apart and all:
Abram- weighing in at 36 lbs 10oz Height 39 1/4 inches
Reese- weighing in at 27 lbs 13 oz Height 32 inches
And of course Reese's noggin was in the 95% tile! Everytime Reese gets a check up I want to say he is so much bigger than Abram was, but the truth is, when I compare they are about the same at 15 months, Reese is just 3 lbs heavier. There you have it folks, and when i find my camera cord to upload pics you will hear about our trip to the dentist and Reese's first pair of shoes (which are 1 1/2 sizes bigger than Abram's first shoes!). Until then, tonight I am going on a Girl's Night Out!!! Details to come.

On the Blog Again.....
Thanks to my Mom getting a new computer, I inherited an ancient hand me down. It is mucho slow, but I am grateful. She was funny and said, "Now you can blog again." It made me anxious. It feels like it has been for-e-ver, and yet I think it's been a month or so. I told her, "I don't even know if people check it anymore." to which she replied, "Well I do." Thanks, Mom. There is a lot to update on, kind of. I haven't even been taking many pics this summer, because-well, there was no where to put them. Some important things to mark:
1. The Reese-Miester decided a couple weeks ago to start walking. I had forgotten about the whole "Godzilla" wobble that is one of the cutest things e-ver. That along with his dinosaur growl, and big chiclet smile is one of my favorite things this summer. He is getting sooo big, and is into EVERY-THING, and can climb like none other. Do not doubt this child, I am telling you-he will always exceed your expectations.
2. Abram VOLUNTEERED to give the scripture and closing prayer in Primary!! I think some of you that belong to different faiths, call it Children's Church. Anyways, he memorized the scripture-and I only had to help with three words. THEN when it was time for the prayer, I asked if he needed help-he said, "No thanks, I can do it by myself." and he did. I am not going to lie-you bet I cried. I was one proud Mama. He loves primary and sings the songs constantly.
3. My cousins came to Tennesee for a long weekend. We got a chalet (a.k.a. the "A" house according to Abram) in Gatlinburg and had 8 adults and 6 kids 3 and under. We are almost outnumbered. It was a little crazy, but we survived. I love when they come to visit.
4. I have gotten the chance to reconnect with some old friends and make some dear new ones. It's been really fun.
5. I don't know why I am numbering these, however, I have been really grateful lately, and richly blessed. Things have been a bit crazy for us since Kris was laid off. But we have stuck together and become a lot closer as a family. I cannot begin to tell you how blessed we have been. I feel very humbled to have such a great family and to have great friends. Man, here come the tears...just know I am grateful.
6. I am trying to run again.....dumb running.....and it's SO hot. And I am SO sore.....and I have only ran 2 days in a row.
So there you have it. There is probably a lot more I left out, but I am back, and we'll figure it out along the way. Go ahead, push play one the Rocky soundtrack, "....DUH....... duh-duh-duh.....duh-duh-duh....duh duh duuuuuuuuuh"
