The "Trick or Treat House"

I don't know what has come over me. I am becoming a little obsessed with Halloween decorating. And feeling the need to be creative. Every now and then I get an itch, to make something. Usually I have this amazing idea in my head (or occasionally someone else's idea I tweak a bit) and I obsess over it until I get it done. It never looks as good as it does in my head (don'tcha hate it when that happens?!). I was getting a little bored with my old painting and decided I needed to make a Halloween painting.

Keep in mind, I have no fancy skills or brushes-in fact, I only have brushes that we have painted a room with and Abram's $1.00 for a pack of 10 paint brushes. That being said, welcome to our art studio!

We have a great support staff...

who are super enthusiastic about art projects....

I still have some tweaking to do, but I had to hang it up to dry first so that I wouldn't have any spooky little hand prints on it......

When Abram saw it he said, "I want to go to the trick or treat house Mommy!" To which I replied, "You're right, it is a trick or treat house." Abram then says in his innocent-doesn't realize how funny he is voice, "It even has a nose (the circle window)."

Now off to visit Martha for some more decorating ideas......

Yes Low, I did paint over my yellow painting......I know, I know. What can I say, I got ancy and bored with it, and a 40 minute trip to get to the craft store is not as easy as it used to be. You can still see part of the flowers, I guess they refused to be totally covered :). DOes it help that I thought of all our crazy craft ideas while I was painting?

Thanks guys for the compliments. This painting makes me really happy, and yes Michelle......maybe a fat turkey should be in order for next month, hmmmmm......

Yeah, that helps. :)

BUT I so would have bought you one and sent it to you and you could have sent me YOURS to hang in my house FOREVER.

But.... it's too late now.

I loved it though.

But I love your Halloween one too. WAY cool.
